Happy Feast to all Nuvemkars This feast is popularly knows as 'Maim Pobri fest'People from far away used to come here to buy kitchen/famer's toolslike koita, pick axe, spades, (addavo, kuraddi, khorem, kantnnem etc)Also popular with earthen/clay pots.

We went late arrived just before 5pm.

Spent 30 minutes in the traffic Jam after Verna/Ashram.

Police could not control the traffic, don’t know what the situation between 9-2pm was.

People also partly to blame.

They parked their two wheelers and cars both sides of the road NH17.

One way traffic (Panjim bound) was normal though.

Whole day was misty as if it’s going to rain and it did rain in some parts around 5.30 including some drizzles at Nuvem I always thought 'Mae Pobre' is the main patron of the churchI always use to see the church but never been inside.

> From outside it looks quite big.

Inside, it is too small like a chapel.

Looks like it was a chapel since 1695 and elevated to church in 1902.

It has Christian population around 8,000 In an article in NT today, it was said it was elevated on March 17, 19203.

It also says that the feast is always celebrated on the 1st Sunday of November. But today, the 8th Nov 2009 is the 2nd Sunday, first being Ist Nov.It says Nuvem has large Catholic population around 18,000Didn’t know which one to believe – Bishop’s website or NT Tonite, there is NOITE DE FESTADine and DanceWith LYNX&A26Rs.250/head inc. chairs/table/buffet Tiatr lovers, there are at least two7.30pm by Com Domnic and Luis Bachan10.30pm by Milagres de Chandor There was also Finals of Kingfisher Voice of GoaAt Goa Racing Tracks, Nuvem Ok, lets go to the pics Nuvem Church Main altar (Holy Family) The feast of Mae dos Pobres(Mother of the Poor) To the right, there is another Saibinn A view from the road (feast fair) doule with holes Koiti, pick axe, khorim etc chonnekar
