The popular Nuvem feast is celebrated worldwide including U.K. and Kuwait
on the same day in Goa by the Nuvem Parishioners.

NUVEM FAIR RESTRICTIONS: The fair for the feast of Mae dos Pobres at Nuvem
will be restricted to three days this year, according to a press release
issued by President of Confraria de Mae dos Pobres, Nuvem, Roque Cardozo.
The fair, which will run from November 7 to 9, 2004 will also not be allowed to
be set up in front of the church this year. The feast will be celebrated on
November 7. (H)

CHARISMATIC CONVENTION: The First National Konkani Catholic Charismatic
Convention will be held at Carmel grounds, Nuvem, from November 11 to 14, 2004.
The convention recognized by the Catholic Bishops Conference of India, is
expected to draw over 18,000 devotees from various parts of the State. (H)
