ADEUS AMIGO

ADEUS AMIGO

Remembrances of Month’s Mind & Birthday
LUCIO NAZARETH GOMES

Lacking just a month than needed to embrace with our sweet smiles and best wishes on your be-lated birthday i.e. 15-04-2011, BUT sorrowfully I the undersigned along with all the members of our NUVEM KUWAIT PARISHIONERS, chokes our depressing hearts and tearful eyes, and humbly mediate to PAUSE a moment in respect praying to GOD and conveying our heartfelt and deepest sympathies to your heartbroken wife Paciencia, daughter Cressida, your loving son Joseph, s/mother Josephine, sisters Petornila/Fly, Emeliana/Fly, brothers Camilo/Estella, Santano/Zeniffer, and most of all to Rev. Fr. Aquileo Gomes & all your family- nephews and nieces on your sudden saddest depart to the heavenly abode on 13-03-2011.

Ultimo, you being with us for the last 35 long years in Kuwait, your hard work and commitments and responsibilities at large, you never left behind to support us in any given social cause for better understandings and recommendations for all times. You were one of our founder members to Youth Association at home, as well as Nuvem Kuwait Parishioners, in Kuwait. Your better understandings gave us always a stronger support to proceed with ease and tranquility for peaceful solutions.

Cool and calm, always ready to co-operative, we find no words to realize our imaginations, that you would miss us so soon to the heavenly abode. But it was God’s will that you have obeyed to HIS command, “as tide waits no men” where no human can deny his wish. Though many of us in Kuwait - your neighbors are very unfortunate to fare last goodbye at your coffin side but it has been proved beyond doubt your affection and sincerity by largesse attendance of tearful crowd in church for your funeral Mass.

Indeed dying only we live again! and that’s what God bestows us, human race the resurrection of life forever as per se scripture foretold. God wanted you to thy kingdom of heaven sooner than we wanted you amongst us in this world. Praise the Lord to take you thy kingdom of heaven forever.

Oh! God once again we the Nuvem Kuwait Parishioners in Kuwait/Goa seeks God’s mercy to give every strength to his family to bear this great loss & pain and fervently prays to grant his soul rest in peace in your kingdom of heaven forever and ever-Amen.

Adieus dear Friend - Lucio Nazareth Gomes we N.K.P.
Will miss you forever - and pray your departed soul RIP.

Sorrowfully yours,

Parish Youth, Nuvem lift Pacheco Trophy

PY Nuvem lift Pacheco Trophy

HERALD CORRESPONDENT / MARGAO, AUG 29, 2010

Parish Youth, Nuvem scored a 4-3 tie-breaker victory over Betalbatim Sporting Club to emerge champions in Joao Francisco Pacheco memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club at Betalbatim Sports Complex on Sunday. The teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation period.
Both teams struggled in the opening session due to the soggy condition of the ground. As a result, play was restricted to the midfield.

As the match progressed, Parish Youth took over their reins and enjoyed a lion share of the exchanges with midfielders Remy Colaco and Daniel Colaco showing their class which never allowed Betalbatim to have a say in the middle of the park.
Parish Youth nearly broke the deadlock but Dickson Rogtao’s snap shot missed the mark narrowly.

Parish Youth continued to hold sway over their opponents and created many forays into the rival penalty area but their efforts were thwarted by Betalbatim stopper back Desmond Fernandes with neat tackles.
Betalbatim occasionally raided the rival citadel but Parish Youth defenders were stubborn and never allowed them to have a look at the goal with Tony Colaco being rock solid.

Betalbatim nearly struck the match-winner but Dickson Rogtao’s pile driver was blocked by the Nuvem goalkeeper.
Parish Youth goal had a charmed life late in the second half when Dickson Rogtao’s goal bound shot was saved on the goalline by Neves Noronha.
In the tie-breaker, Parish Youth emerged winners scoring through Remy Colaco, Neves Noronha, Neville Fernandes and Daniel Colaco while Desmond Fernandes, Dickson Rogtao and Hayston D’Costa were on target for Betalbatim.

Parish Youth, Nuvem were richer by Rs 30,000 plus the trophy while Betalbatim Sporting Club had to settle for Rs 20,000 plus the trophy.
Following prizes were awarded: Best goalkeeper of final Flyod Colaco of Parish Youth, Nuvem. Best defender of final Tony Colaco of Parish Youth, Nuvem. Best half Dickson Rogtao of Betalbatim Sporting Club. Best forward of final Joe Colaco of Parish Youth, Nuvem. First goal of final Desmond Fernandes of Betalbatim Sporting Club. Farewell goal of final Daniel Colaco of Parish Youth.
